Senior partner status for BP at the Renault Sport F1 Team

In 2020, oil and gas multinational BP PLC became a senior partner to the Renault Sport F1 Team.

As part of the agreement, Castrol Edge branding appeared on the engine cover and rear wing end plate of both cars, as well as on the collar of the race suits worn by Daniel Ricciardo and Esteban Ocon.

BP PLC used the partnership to deliver an extensive global activation programme, while a new B2B agreement was also formulated that enabled BP to access previously hard-to-reach areas of the Renault/Nissan carmaker alliance.
