Sunoco and Energy Transfer commence 2nd year with Kick Sauber
Iconic American performance fuel brand, Sunoco, and its parent company, Energy Transfer, are collaborating with Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber in 2024 and beyond.
Founded in 1886 and synonymous with success on race tracks and the roads, Sunoco’s proud reputation has been built on 130 years of innovation and its ability to consistently develop quality products that its customers trust.
Its parent company, Energy Transfer, is a major energy infrastructure company. With more than 125.000 miles of pipelines, Energy Transfer is one of the top-50 largest corporations in the United States.
The brands’ partnership with Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber will leverage the rising success of Formula One in the USA and pave the way for new activations at the three American races on the 2024 F1 calendar.
Sunoco’s brand marque will be displayed on the team’s C44 race car and on the overalls of drivers Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu at the Miami and Las Vegas Grands Prix. Energy Transfer will take over the positions at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.
Alessandro Alunni Bravi, team representative, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sunoco and Energy Transfer. I am first and foremost a motorsport fan, and Sunoco is a brand that elicits strong emotions for me, as it is deeply ingrained into this world. It’s a brand synonymous with racing, one that evokes memories of golden eras of sportscar racing and, more recently, the most followed American series, NASCAR and IndyCar. It’s an honour for us to work with them during the Miami and Las Vegas Grands Prix and to welcome Energy Transfer in Austin. The US market has gained more and more importance within our sport over recent years, and we are now partners with two of the most important and recognisable brands in the country.”
Sandra Deiters, Vice President of Business Development for Sunoco, said: “We are pleased to join the Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber family and look forward to working together this season. Sunoco has a long history of being involved with high-performance motorsports. As a brand synonymous with performance fuels, we can’t wait to bring our commitment and passion to the pinnacle of motorsports.”
Vicki Granado, Vice President of Public Relations for Energy Transfer, said: “Energy Transfer is pleased to become part of the world of Formula One, thanks to its partnership with Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber. Aligning the Energy Transfer brand with the expanding Formula One fan base in the United States and abroad is an opportunity for us to not only showcase what we do as one of the largest transporters of oil and natural gas, but also to communicate how these energy sources touch everything in our daily lives – including the world of racing.”
